North Central Ohio K-9 Search and Rescue
North Central Ohio K-9 Search and Rescue is an all volunteer Canine Search and Rescue team consisting of over two dozen dogs and handlers, full time incident command and support staff. We can operate as a stand alone unit or as part of a greater search effort.
We arrive fully equipped with our own internal communications and Incident Command if requested. We are based in Medina Ohio and provide service to Medina, Wayne, Stark, Summit, Portage, Lorain, and Cuyahoga Counties. If the need arises we can travel to other counties if requested.
At NCOK-9 SAR we take great pride in providing our services as needed to the public by providing aid and support to Law Enforcement personnel whenever needed, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, all year round. We understand the need for speed and accuracy in what we do and all members receive extensive training in a variety of areas ranging from Basic Tracking to Cadaver Detection, (both land and water) to advanced search and recovery techniques. To ensure we are always ready, full team exercises are held weekly and specialized training is ongoing. In addition, many members practice on their own or in small groups between team practices as well.
We are currently affiliated with several local Rescue and Law Enforcement Authorities as well as both Hopkins and Burke Lakefront Airports as their canine Search and Recovery team.
